The Taipei izakaya "Dasuke by Sakemaru", which has just been recommended by the Michelin Guide, has recently become the new favorite of many food lovers. This time, I was lucky enough to be invited by my fellow diners to quickly experience this popular restaurant. The atmosphere in the store is relaxed and pleasant, especially suitable for drinking and chatting after get off work. Whether it is a couple date or a dinner with friends, it is a very recommended choice.

This time we chose to sit in the high-footed bar area and tasted a few à la carte wine and food dishes. The overall feeling is very recommended. In the future, we would like to try the non-menu cooking experience of the front seat.

Small dishes and appetizers

Can be boiled flat

It consists of small pieces of radish, bamboo shoots, potatoes and peas, stewed in a soup flavored with traditional soy sauce, and then garnished with salmon roe. Although the overall taste is light and refreshing, the seasoning is slightly monotonous and has no outstanding characteristics.

Chicken liver and mountain pepper boiled (recommended! )

The chicken liver is handled very carefully and densely, with no fishy smell at all, and with the fresh aroma of mountain pepper, it is an excellent appetizer, which makes people take one bite after another.

Fried chicken wings with peeled peppers (recommended! )

The outer layer of fried chicken wings is brushed with a moderately sweet and salty sauce, and the filling is spicy and sweet peeled chili. The taste is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It is very suitable for pairing with beer or sake. It is highly recommended for wine lovers to order this dish!

Fried fruit corn

The fruit corn is cut into easy-to-eat strips and fried to bring out the sweetness and caramel aroma of natural corn. It is a simple but surprising dish.

Staple food and specialty cooking rice

Hiroshima Oyster Clay Pot Cooking Rice

Oyster rice cooked in an earthen pot uses large oysters from Hiroshima. The meat is plump and full, and the taste is fresh and sweet. The service staff in the store will also take the initiative to distribute the cooked meals, but the overall seasoning is salty, and the mouth is a little tired after eating too much. It is recommended that multiple people share the food. It is more appropriate.

Raise out Baizi

Personally, I don't have a preference for thickening dishes. The noodles of this fried Baizi have a soft taste and a clear greasy feeling. The overall is more ordinary, not my taste.

Miso charcoal grilled chicken heart (recommended! )

The chicken heart has been carefully roasted over charcoal, and it is paired with a moderately salty and sweet miso sauce. The taste is soft and elastic, and the charcoal flavor is rich. It is a great choice for appetizers.

Sweet potato Brizo vanilla ice cream

The surface of sweet potato brie is baked with crispy caramel icing, and it is paired with vanilla ice cream. Although the combination is attractive, the overall sweetness is high and slightly greasy. It is suitable for people who prefer desserts.

Overall dining experience and personal feelings

I am very sorry that I was unable to match the sake to drink by driving this time, because many dishes are specially designed to match the sake. It is very recommended that you try Dasuke by Sakemaru's sake pairing scheme next time.

The service staff in the restaurant is enthusiastic and professional, especially the female generals in the bar area, who will take the initiative to interact with guests, and occasionally invite guests to try wine, which adds a lot of fun to the meal.

Overall rating and cost

Overall, Dasuke by Sakemaru not only has exquisite meals, but also extremely high CP value. The consumption of two people is about NTNT2,700. It is a great place to enjoy high-quality Japanese wine and food without spending too much.

If you are looking for a high-quality izakaya experience in Taipei, Dasuke by Sakemaru is definitely worth including in your food list.

關於我

Choosy Chou

Hi, this is Chou Chou. Because I have always been "picky" about good things, I founded Choosy Chou to record and share the food, flavors and travel experiences that are truly worthy of being remembered. I am a food and flavor explorer, from street food to Michelin restaurants, from hidden bars to boutique cafes, I like to use my professional senses to taste, understand and compare, rather than just taking pictures and checking in. I have WSET Wine Level 2, WSET Sake Level 1, SSI Sake Navigator, and Coffee CSP Sensory Skill Foundation licenses. I hope to use a more systematic way to show you the flavor value behind a glass of wine and a dish. I have traveled to many countries such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, Iceland, and the United Kingdom. I believe that the most authentic language in the world is hidden on the table and in the cup. Choosy is not picky, but an insistence on the quality of life. You are welcome to join me in savoring the world with higher standards.
