Focosso|Menu Introduction

Handmade Focaccia bread

The hot focaccia on the table has a crispy skin and soft interior. It is paired with olive oil and vinaigrette to behave in a well-behaved manner. It's not Lei, but there is no memory point.

Cabrata Cheese / beetroot / walnut

Surprise king of the day! The pickled beetroot is sweet and sour and refreshing, perfectly blended with the rich brata cheese, and the walnuts add to the taste level. This dish is completely beyond expectations and is the highlight of the appetizer, which will make people unable to stop one bite after another.

Wukong charcoal grilled Small Roll / Ink mayonnaise

Drink artifact! The charcoal-grilled small rolls are properly controlled by the heat, scorched on the outside and tender on the inside, with a sour and charming ink mayonnaise, plus Argentine green sauce and garlic sauce, which are rich in layers and are very suitable for a glass of white wine.

🍝Carbonara Pork Cheek Bacon Egg Sauce Straight Round Noodles

The staple food that is expected to fail. The pasta turned out to be raw, the noodles were too hard, and it tasted full of raw flour, which seriously affected the overall performance. As the soul food of an Italian restaurant, this mistake is a bit inexcusable.

Bony calf rib eyes

The three-point ripeness is just right, the outer layer is slightly scorched, the inside is juicy, the meat is balanced between softness and chewiness, the fat is rich, and the bite of the tendon is very enjoyable. It is the protagonist of the main course. That's right.

Kale / Parmesan Cheese / Lemon

A well-behaved side dish, the acidity of lemon effectively neutralizes the bitterness of kale, but the overall performance is dull and the memory point is not high.

🍰 Pistachio melaleuca crisp / Vanilla ice cream

Very delicious dessert! The melaleuca meringue is crispy and not oily, and the filling is pistachio cinnamon sauce with a salty and sweet taste. Even people who don't love cinnamon can accept it. Although vanilla ice cream is ordinary, the overall combination is still extremely satisfying.

🍫After-dinner chocolate & dessert wine

Both are ordinary. There are no surprises in chocolate, the dessert wine is strong, and the pairing with the dessert is slightly reluctant.

Wine list and sommelier experience

There are many choices of wines, but the process of serving wine is a bit unprofessional, and the hands are shaking when opening the bottle, and there is no active guidance on whether to sober up or not. Fortunately, the recommended red wine performed well. After sober, the wine was smooth and soft in tannins.

Overall dining experience and personal feelings

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is good, and some of the dishes are impressive, especially the brata cheese and small rolls, melaleuca crisp, etc. Are eye-catching. However, pasta, as a staple food, has overturned a lot, coupled with the small serving size and high price, it will make people hesitate to visit again. It is suitable for dating or when you want to have a drink and eat exquisite Italian cuisine. It is more enjoyable if you don't put it too high.

Choosy Chou

Hi, this is Chou Chou. Because I have always been "picky" about good things, I founded Choosy Chou to record and share the food, flavors and travel experiences that are truly worthy of being remembered. I am a food and flavor explorer, from street food to Michelin restaurants, from hidden bars to boutique cafes, I like to use my professional senses to taste, understand and compare, rather than just taking pictures and checking in. I have WSET Wine Level 2, WSET Sake Level 1, SSI Sake Navigator, and Coffee CSP Sensory Skill Foundation licenses. I hope to use a more systematic way to show you the flavor value behind a glass of wine and a dish. I have traveled to many countries such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, Iceland, and the United Kingdom.
