Not pompous, not overly packaged, but full of sincerity. An Omakase experience with a happy drink and a full meal.
To be honest, I rarely eat Omakase.
On the one hand, it is because there are too many sushi rice and it is very unfriendly to drink control, and you will be full after a few servings; on the other hand, the price in Taiwan is often 5,000, 6,000 or even 10,000. It always makes people feel that it is better to fly directly to Japan to eat.
Therefore, vinegar rice (relic) is a blind spot for my taste buds. I can't tell the genre, technique, and stacking level. I can only intuitively tell "whether it's delicious, like it or not."
But the price of sushi Ichida visited this time is relatively affordable, and the wine selection is also very careful, and the overall experience is comfortable and enjoyable.

Nigiri Sushi & Hot Dishes

• New eel seedlings: they melt in the mouth, and the oil is fine.
• Soft silk: The knife work is beautiful, and the taste is Q-elastic.
• Golden snapper: The perfect blend of grease and vinegar rice.
•Sweet shrimp: fresh, soft and waxy.

•Water needle: delicate and refreshing.
•Small muscle fish (additional purchase): The salt and vinegar are properly treated and will not be too sour. It is considered an unexpected favorite.
* Yellowtail: Well-behaved.
• Car shrimp: good elasticity and sweetness.

•Eye fish: Highly recommended! The roasting is crispy and crispy, and the aroma of oil under the skin is bursting. It is my favorite dish of the day.
• Bonito: The smoky aroma brings out the level, which is not bad.
• Beiyoubei: Well-behaved.
•Red throat: ❤️One of the stunning ones. The first time I ate the red throat that was "baked so delicious", it completely subverted the image.

• Fried eel: The dense fish meat under the crispy skin is also excellent as a small point.
• Firefly squid: Rich seafood flavor, just right with sake.
• Tuna belly: rich in fat and stable performance.
• Horse dung sea urchin: not fishy or bitter, moderate sweetness.

• Bird back (additional purchase): Memory points are ordinary.
* Purple sea urchin (additional purchase): It is sweeter and richer than horse dung sea urchin.
•Puffer fish Baizi (additional purchase): It has a full sense of luxury and meticulous performance. It is one of the few rare items that can be eaten by omakase in Taiwan.

•Fish fry shortbread (hospitality): It's like a small surprise, with a sea flavor in the crisp fragrance, which is very cute.
• Tuna thin rolls (hospitality): The amount of meal is just right, and it melts in the mouth.
• Cake Tamako-yaki: sweet and dense, ending like a dessert.
•Brown sugar Geche: With chewy and ancient flavor, it is the last stroke of comfort.
Japanese sake pairing
Speaking of wine, this one really surprised me!
• At the beginning of the game, I chose "Shanchuan Guangnan". The taste is delicate and smooth. It is completely my dish.
• Later, I ordered several rare wines one after another, such as "Panda's mood" and "Penguin's Mood", which are really rare in other places.
• Especially you can click on a single cup. This is simply a natural operation for people like me who want to try more but don't want to open the whole bottle at once.
• A glass of sweet wine (Dolce) was also served after the meal, which was very rewarding at the end.
Although it is a sushi restaurant, drinking is not sloppy here. If you are a sake lover, this one is definitely worth a visit.

Overall dining experience and personal feelings
Sushi Ichida's style is "making people eat comfortably" rather than "visually pompous".
The materials are honest and the prices are real. There are no gorgeous utensils and pompous performances. Instead, the focus is on the performance of each guest and the experience of the guests.
For me, this is what Omakase should look like.
